Description
Our plastic filters remove suspended particles from water to protect drip emitters, sprinklers, and other irrigation components from clogging. Constructed from composite plastic shells, these filters operate under field conditions with pressure resistance and impact resistance. They are available in multiple configurations with two filter element options to accommodate different water quality conditions. Commercial users can select from sizes ranging from 3/4" to 2-1/2" with male thread connections. Standard filtration grade is 120 mesh (130 micron), with alternative mesh sizes available upon request.
Stainless steel mesh elements trap inorganic impurities including sand, sediment, and silt. This filtration method works effectively for general-purpose applications where water contains primarily mineral-based particles. Mesh filters provide higher flow rates compared to disc filters of the same size.
Disc filter elements use stacked grooved discs that create a three-dimensional filtration path. This design offers enhanced performance against organic impurities such as algae, seeds, and plant debris. The centrifugal disc design achieves multi-layer filtration in a single step.

Product Uses
These plastic filters function in various irrigation systems:
Greenhouse irrigation systems protecting drip emitters
Fertilization systems removing undissolved fertilizer particles
Garden and landscape irrigation systems
Nursery irrigation for container plants
Small to medium-scale agricultural operations including vegetable farms and orchards
Golf course and public park irrigation systems
Product Operate Guide
Select filter size based on system flow rate and pipe diameter
Verify thread type matches your system (BSP or NPT)
Install filter after the pump and before control valves or irrigation equipment
Align filter with the flow direction arrow marked on the housing
Apply PTFE tape to male threads before installation
Tighten connections hand-tight plus 1/2 turn with a wrench
Provide support for larger filters to prevent connection stress
Clean filters when pressure differential across the unit increases. For mesh filters, remove and rinse the element with clean water and a soft brush. For disc filters, separate individual discs and rinse thoroughly. Before winter, drain the filter completely to prevent freezing damage. Replacement filter elements are available for all models.
FAQ
Mesh filters use stainless steel screens to trap inorganic particles like sand. Disc filters use stacked grooved discs that create a three-dimensional path, providing better performance against organic impurities such as algae and seeds.
For most drip irrigation systems, 120 mesh is recommended. For sprinkler systems, coarser filtration may be sufficient. For systems with very small emitter openings, finer filtration may be required.
Yes, these filters are compatible with liquid fertilizers. The plastic housing and filter elements resist chemical attack from agricultural chemicals and fertilizers.
Standard configuration includes male threads. BSP or NPT thread options are available upon request for commercial procurement orders.
